When you order through our online store, rest assured that your sensitive information such as credit card numbers and passwords are encrypted and highly secure. Custom-Printed Cards & Photo Cards

At Baby Cachet, getting your cards custom printed with your personalized wording couldn’t be easier. Here’s our easy three-step process:
1 Proofing

Custom-printed cards: You can personalize your wording and preview your card instantly before you order. But don’t worry, it’s only a preview. After you order, our professional designers will review your order and make adjustments so that your card is simply beautiful. A digital image of your card – your proof – will be emailed to you typically in one business day.

Photo cards: We understand that not everyone is a designer. So, we don’t expect you to layout your own card. Our professional designers will incorporate your wording to create a beautiful one-of-a-kind card. A digital image of your card – your proof – will be emailed to you typically in one business day.
2 Customer Approval

Request as many changes to the proof as you’d like until you’re completely satisfied. There are no extra fees no matter how many changes you request! Once your proof is exactly how you like it, simply email us your approval. We will never print your order without your approval.
3 Printing and Shipping

Once we receive your proof approval, your order will be printed and ready to ship typically after one business day! We’ll email you a shipping confirmation to let you know when your order ships.

How to re-order custom-printed orders

Received your custom-printed order, but need more? It’s easy to re-order a few more sets! For quickest service, simply place your re-order online. Re-orders are placed in the same way as your original order. Please be sure to select “Yes, customize with my wording” under STEP 1: CUSTOMIZE CARD. However, you do not have to customize your card again. Simply enter “Use approved proof from order #[your previous order number]” in the Order Comments box when you check out. For re-orders, we do not re-send you the proof that you’ve already approved before we print your re-order. However, if you’d like to review the proof again before we print, please enter “Re-send proof for approval” in the Order Comments box. Please also be sure to select your preferences for ADD PHOTO, CUSTOMIZE ENVELOPE, and DIRECT MAILING SERVICE when you place your re-order.

Samples

We are confident that you will love our invitations whether you are looking for cards to announce your pregnancy or invitations for a baby shower. If you want to see and feel for yourself how good our invitations are, we encourage you to request a sample of any card that piques your interest. To order a sample, select the product and click on the “Request a sample” link at the top of the product description page. All samples come with free shipping.

Sales tax

Because our fulfillment center is located in the state of Michigan, we are required to collect sales tax of 6% for orders shipped to addresses within Michigan. We do not collect sales tax for orders shipped outside of Michigan.

Processing

Photo submission

Our photo cards and baby invitations allow for a great degree of customization and personalization including the option to have one or more photos digitally printed directly onto the cards.

If you’d like to include a photo for a card you’ve chosen to purchase, simply make sure “Yes” is selected under ADD PHOTO and click on the UPLOAD PHOTO button to submit your photo. Please note that we can accept only digital photos. Sorry, we cannot accept printed photos (e.g., via fax, mail, etc.).

Don’t worry if the photo isn’t “perfect”. As long as the image is of acceptable resolution, we can touch up just about anything including color, red eye, and background clutter.

For digital photos, submit the un-edited, full size file in JPEG format. To create an acceptable printed image, the photo should have an image resolution of at least 1152 x 864 pixels. For birth announcement photo cards (i.e., magazine covers), the image resolution should be a minimum of 2272 x 1704 pixels. If you’re not sure about your photo’s format or resolution, submit it anyway and we’ll check it for you.

If your photo was taken by a professional photographer, please make sure you have the photographer’s permission to use the photo. Please note: By submitting your photo(s), you certify that you have permission to use the photo and you agree to hold harmless Baby Cachet for all costs, expenses, fees, or judgments resulting from any claims or lawsuits claiming that the work produced violates any copyright or proprietary right of any person or entity.

The status of your order will be communicated to you at every stage of the process until it arrives in your hands. When you place an order at Baby Cachet you will immediately receive an on-screen and email order confirmation/receipt summarizing items purchased, cost, and delivery address. Typically within one business day, you will receive a second email when your electronic proof is ready for your review and approval. Electronic proofs are only sent if you ordered customized and personalized products such as custom birthday invites or baptism invites. For non-digital (i.e., paper) products, you will be notified by email when your order has been shipped. The shipping confirmation email contains typical shipping times (and tracking number, if available). If you receive this message in the evening or on a weekend, your order may not be postmarked until the next business day.

Except for federal holidays, invitations without custom printing (i.e., purchased blank) are processed and shipped typically within one business day of when your order is placed. Invitations with custom printing, which require customer proof approval, are processed and shipped typically after one business day from proof approval (three to four days for photo cards). Magazine cover photo cards and baby monthly and quarterly update photo cards, which require photographic development and proof approval, are processed and shipped typically after five to six business days from proof approval.

Please note that these are typical processing times. The actual time to process and ship an order will depend on a number of factors, some of which may be out of our control such as how long it takes the customer to approve the proof and how many orders are in the printing queue. Processing times may be longer leading up to major holidays such as Christmas.

While we make every effort to process and ship your order as expeditiously as possible, we cannot make any guarantees that your order will arrive to you in time for any planned events. We regrettably cannot be responsible for any costs or expenses resulting from cancellation or rescheduling of your event, reprinting of cards, etc. We want every event to be successful and every order to arrive safely and on time. Please contact us immediately in the event that you have not received your order by the typical shipping time shown on your shipping confirmation email or in the above table.

Since our shipping carrier does not pick up on weekends, orders that are ready to ship Friday afternoon, Saturday, or Sunday regardless of the product or shipping service are generally shipped the following business day, Monday. Orders shipped during the latter weeks of December may take longer than typical to arrive due to higher holiday shipping volume.

If you’ve purchased a baby photo e-Card, you will receive instructions by email on how to download your e-Card once you have approved the proof and your e-Card is ready.

If you’ve purchased a personal baby website, a Baby Cachet web designer will contact you typically within one business day to initiate the project. Proof approval

When you order custom invitations, you will have an opportunity to review an electronic proof for each card to ensure everything on the card – photo, layout, wording, type style, font size, font color, etc. – is precisely how you want it.

For your convenience, proofs are scaled to actual size. Because of wide differences in computer monitor calibration, please be aware that some printed colors may not exactly match the colors on your specific monitor. Please understand that it is the customer’s responsibility to check for errors and omissions in wording, spelling, punctuation, accuracy, etc. before approving a proof. To ensure your complete satisfaction, we require proof approval before submitting any customized card for final printing.

Because we understand that parents are busy, we allow you up to seven days to review a proof. In the unfortunate event that we have not received your written approval or disapproval by the seventh day, we will assume that the proof is not approved and we will regrettably have to cancel the item from your order.

The graphic(s) in our proofs is copyrighted and is the property of Baby Cachet and its designers and may not be reproduced without permission.

Shipping

We currently ship only to the 50 United States (although if you use our Direct Mailing Service, we can mail your cards for you to international addresses). For your convenience, we offer USPS Priority and Express services. Samples can be shipped via USPS First-Class, Priority, or Express.

Credit card orders can be shipped only to the billing address on your credit card.

Shipping cost is based on which shipping service you choose, weight, and destination. You can get the shipping cost before you order by adding your items to the shopping cart and specifying the destination.

Transit time depends upon the shipping service and is typically as follows:

First-Class: 1-3 business days, but may take up to 9 business days to some areas
Priority: 2-3 business days, but may take up to 6 business days to some areas
Express: Next business day to most areas, but may take up to 2 business days. Please note that Express packages require signature upon delivery.
